There is no shop in Cwmtydu. The nearest supermarkets are in Aberystwyth and Cardigan, and both Tesco and Morrisons deliver to the postcode. Tesco is more reliable for delivery slots. Get a big shop in early in the week and you will not need to go far for the rest of it.
That said, there are enough good things close by that it is worth making a few trips.
Tafell a Tan — Llangrannog
Wood-fired pizzas in Llangrannog, about two miles south along the coast path or a short drive. They are good pizzas. Order online before you go and allow extra time for parking — the village is small and gets congested in August. Walk down if the weather is with you.

The Londis at Brynhoffnant
The most convenient shop to Ty Cwch. It stocks the basics and does ready-made meals. Not a food destination but useful for top-ups and for anything you forgot on the way in. There is also Y Bryn, a new pub and micro-brewery next door with outdoor eating.
Da Mhile Distillery
Wales’s newest distillery, near Llandysul. They make seaweed gin, a range of botanical gins, whisky and brandy. Teifi Cheese is based on the same site. It is worth an afternoon if you have a car and want to do something slightly different. The seaweed gin is unusual in the best possible way.

Organic vegetables, close by. Turn right in Llwydafydd and it is on the right. Worth seeking out if you are planning to cook properly for the group.

Local Breweries
There are several small breweries within reach if you want to drink local. Mantle Brewery and Penlon Brewery are both worth looking out for in local pubs and off-licences.

New Quay and Aberaeron
For a sit-down meal out, New Quay and Aberaeron are both within easy reach. Aberaeron has the Harbourmaster on the quay, which is reliable and has a good reputation locally. New Quay has a cluster of options along the seafront. Neither town needs booking weeks in advance, but in August a call ahead is sensible.

Llangrannog Pubs and Cafés
The Ship Inn, the Pentre Arms and The Beach Hut are all in Llangrannog. In August the village is popular and all three get busy. The Pentre Arms has a good view from the terrace if you can get a table.
