The building itself is stacked larch-clad shipping containers, insulated and heated properly, not dressed up to look green. Most of the furniture inside is upcycled. None of this was added on afterwards; it was the design brief from the start, which is why it won a Tourism Innovation Award from Mid Wales Tourism and Green Tourism Gold.
